Forget love — I’d rather fall in chocolate!

In our hands-on chocolate experiences, you will eat, learn, and enjoy with the help of a craft chocolate maker sharing their expertise with you through the video conferencing app of your choice. Our instructors have helped participants around the country explore their passion for this delicious craft.

In Chocolate Making, the instructor de-mystifies the technique of tempering chocolate and you’ll have the opportunity to put your new knowledge into action to create your own delicious chocolate masterpiece.

If your group members don’t have access to a stovetop for your event, you may opt for Chocolate Tasting. Find out more about cacao, the journey from bean to bar, and making chocolate from socially and environmentally responsible sources. With the help of a tasting wheel, compare and contrast different artisan bars to find your new favorite.

Interested in making a new chocolatey treat? Turn to Chocolate Truffle Making where as the name suggests your instructor will lead you through making ganache and creating truffles perfect for sharing or savoring solo!

As an award-winning, 5-star rated company, we strive for excellence to ensure each of our guests has a blast! Mangia DC is #1 on TripAdvisor for Food and Drink Activities AND Classes and Workshops in Washington, DC. We are excited for you to join us and see why!

Mangia (pronounced: mahn-ja) means “eat” in Italian. Since 2013, we here at Mangia DC have been committed to helping out-of-town visitors and our fellow Washingtonians experience the taste of our nation’s capital through culinary experiences where our guests learn, enjoy, and —of course— eat!

Pre-COVID19, we did that by hosting tasting events, cooking classes, and food tours in Washington DC’s iconic neighborhoods. And while our in-person food experiences are temporarily on hold for your safety, we are still cooking up all kinds of fun ways to connect with you as we all stay safe and comply with CDC and local health guidelines.
